5 anti-scam reflexes
- Check the brand’s official domain on Google and compare it to the sender’s.
- Never pay shipping, customs or "deposit" fees to receive a "free" product.
- Hover links without clicking to see the full URL. When in doubt, don’t open anything.
- If unsure, contact the brand directly via their official site or verified Instagram.
- Never share your password, SSN/SIN or banking info in a first exchange.
Still not sure? Triple can verify the brand for you.

Everything you need to know before using the tool.
How do I know if a brand collab email is a scam?
The strongest signals: sender on Gmail/Yahoo instead of a brand domain, request to pay shipping for a "free" product, urgency pressure, request for sensitive info (SSN, password), shortened links or links to a fake creator "portal", mention of crypto or gift cards.
Should I pay to receive a free product?
Never. A real brand covers 100% of shipping, customs and handling fees. Any payment request, even small, to receive a "free" product is a scam.
What are the most common UGC scams?
The fake PR gift (pay the shipping), check overpayment ("we sent you too much, refund the difference"), phishing via fake creator portal, and the fake "you’ve been selected" email blasted from a Gmail account.
