How do I calculate Instagram engagement rate?
The standard formula is: (average likes + average comments) ÷ followers × 100. For example, 450 likes + 35 comments on a 10,000-follower account = 4.85% engagement rate.
What is a good engagement rate?
General benchmarks: under 1% = low, 1–3.5% = average, 3.5–6% = good, over 6% = excellent. Smaller accounts naturally have higher rates than larger ones.
